राजविराज, बैशाख १६- पूर्व–पश्चिम राजमार्गअन्तर्गत सप्तरीको खडक नगरपालिका–६ स्थित मिलन चोकमा गएराति मोइक्रोबस र भारतीय ट्रक एकापसमा ठोक्किँदा एक जनाको मृत्यु भएको छ । काभ्रेपलाञ्चोक नमोबुध नगरपालिका–२ फूलबारी बस्ने मोइक्रोबस चालक ३५ वर्षीय रामशरण गौतमको मृत्यु भएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय, सप्तरीले जनाएको छ । काठमाडौँबाट सप्तरीको फतेपुर आउँदै गरेको बा४ख ८२४८ नम्बरको मोइक्रोबस (हायस) र विपरीत दिशाबाट जाँदै गरेको बीआर ०६ जीसी ७६६६ नम्बरको भारतीय ट्रक एकापसमा ठोकिएको थियो । ठक्कर दिने ट्रकको चालक फरार रहेकाले उनको खोजी कार्य भइरहेको इलाका प्रकरी कार्यालय कल्याणपुरले जनाएको छ ।

मनकामना मन्दिरको छानामा १८ किलो सुनको जलप

मनकामना, गोरखा, १६ पुस । चार सय वर्ष पुरानो मन्दिरलाई जगैदेखि भत्काएर पुनःनिर्माण भइरहेको प्रसिद्ध धार्मिकस्थल गोरखाको मनकामना मन्दिरको छानामा १८ किलो ग्राम सुनको जलप लगाउने काम शुरु भएको छ । मन्दिरको छानामा रहने तामाको पातामा सुनको जलप लगाउने कार्य शुरु गरिएको बताउँदै मनकामना मन्दिर जीर्णोद्धार समितिका सचिव प्रेमकुमार श्रेष्ठले पुरातत्व विभागको मापदण्डअनुसार नै धेरै वर्षसम्म टिक्ने गरी जलप लगाउने कार्य आरम्भ गरिएको बताउनुभयो । श्रेष्ठले भन्नुभयो, “एक तोला सुनले तीन स्वायर तामाको पातामा जलप लगाउनुपर्छ भन्ने पुरातत्व विभागको मापदण्डअनुसार नै जलप लगाएका छौँ ।” पाटनदेखि आएका १२ जना कालीगढ तामाको पातामा सुनको जलप लगाउन व्यस्त छन् । समितिले साढे सात किलोग्राम सुन खरिद गरिसकेको छ । जलप दीर्घकालीन रुपमा टिकाइराख्ने हो भने कम्तीमा १८ किलोग्राम सुन आवश्यक पर्ने समितिको अनुमान छ । तामाको पातामा लगाएको सुनको जलप कम्तीमा एक सय वर्ष पहेँलो रहन्छ । पानीले नबिगार्ने उक्त जलप परेवाको विष्टीले भने बिगार्ने बताइन्छ । श्रेष्ठले भन्नुभयो, “अहिलेसम्म १३ वटा तामाको पातामा सुनको जलप लगाइसकेका छौँ । सुन तथा ज...

Protests for provincial capitals continue in various districts

Protests for provincial headquarters continued in different parts of the country on Friday as well. There were also some incidents of clashes and vandalism, which the authorities described as sporadic and nothing out of control. In Doti, at least 24 protesters and four police personnel were injured in a clash that broke out at Silgadhi after the protesters started pelting stones towards the District Administration Office. Police fired several rounds of warning shots, tear gas shells and at last resorted to baton charge to take the situation under control. Protesters also vandalised Local Peace Committee, Post Office, District Forest Office, and District Education Office buildings. They closed markets and obstructed vehicular movement in Silgadhi, Pipalla, Rajpur, Ghopghat and Budar areas.
