Bangladesh airline crashes in Nepal's Kathmandu airport

A Bangladesh airline passenger aircraft crashed while descending at Nepal's Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Monday, an airport official said.



It was not immediately known how many passengers were on board the plane which caught fire.

"We are trying to bring the fire under control. Details are awaited," airport spokesman Birendra Prasad Shrestha said

मनकामना, गोरखा, १६ पुस । चार सय वर्ष पुरानो मन्दिरलाई जगैदेखि भत्काएर पुनःनिर्माण भइरहेको प्रसिद्ध धार्मिकस्थल गोरखाको मनकामना मन्दिरको छानामा १८ किलो ग्राम सुनको जलप लगाउने काम शुरु भएको छ । मन्दिरको छानामा रहने तामाको पातामा सुनको जलप लगाउने कार्य शुरु गरिएको बताउँदै मनकामना मन्दिर जीर्णोद्धार समितिका सचिव प्रेमकुमार श्रेष्ठले पुरातत्व विभागको मापदण्डअनुसार नै धेरै वर्षसम्म टिक्ने गरी जलप लगाउने कार्य आरम्भ गरिएको बताउनुभयो । श्रेष्ठले भन्नुभयो, “एक तोला सुनले तीन स्वायर तामाको पातामा जलप लगाउनुपर्छ भन्ने पुरातत्व विभागको मापदण्डअनुसार नै जलप लगाएका छौँ ।” पाटनदेखि आएका १२ जना कालीगढ तामाको पातामा सुनको जलप लगाउन व्यस्त छन् । समितिले साढे सात किलोग्राम सुन खरिद गरिसकेको छ । जलप दीर्घकालीन रुपमा टिकाइराख्ने हो भने कम्तीमा १८ किलोग्राम सुन आवश्यक पर्ने समितिको अनुमान छ । तामाको पातामा लगाएको सुनको जलप कम्तीमा एक सय वर्ष पहेँलो रहन्छ । पानीले नबिगार्ने उक्त जलप परेवाको विष्टीले भने बिगार्ने बताइन्छ । श्रेष्ठले भन्नुभयो, “अहिलेसम्म १३ वटा तामाको पातामा सुनको जलप लगाइसकेका छौँ । सुन तथा ज...
